Holmqvistrummet is named after the deaconess and student manager Elisabeth Holmqvist. She lived between 1818 and 1944 and worked at Ersta from 1907 to her death. First as student manager and matron at Ersta's hospital and then continued as manager at Ersta diakonianstallt.
